Key Posing

Key posing is very important when it comes to animation. Today I focused on achieving great poses which allow the viewer to understand what the character is thinking. From this I've learn't  that its important to take your time to pose your characters, as it's these key poses which  will determine how the tweens will look and work. I've also been able to work with the Osipa Rig to create her expressions and I've also been able to understand the reason behind why the Logic Rig can be so important to use.
The awesome rig I used for this came from MeryProject.com
This photo was rendered using Renderman. Thanks Pixar

Dog 3D updated

Here is my updated version, I've managed to fix the framing problem and had a go at animating the tail. I don't believe it's perfect just yet and I also think that the timing for the front legs may be out a bit but overall I believe it does work, just a few tweaks here and there are needed to make it fluid.

Dog run

Here is my work in progress on a dog run cycle, there seems to be a bit of a glitch  at the end due to the frame speed which I can fix plus I still need to add in the trail movements but I believe its going well. To see the looped video, right click on the video and select loop.

Design principles for backgrounds

Here are some line drawings which I have tries to add clarity to them through using design principles such as balance, rhythm and harmony. With the first few I believe I achieved some clarity but color was not used properly in contrast with shading. As I went on I believed it became better.

Clouds

First try in photoshop in regards to using tools such as the mixer brush, there is a lot to get my head around but it will seem second nature if i keep at it. The clouds need a bit more work and the background needs more colours to be able fit in more with the cloud design. Overall I am happy with it, I like it.
